COMMUNITY COORDINATOR

Passion City Church D.C.

OBJECTIVE

To help carry out the mission of Passion City Church that we are: for God, for people, for the city, and for the world. To lead a team of Door Holders to create an atmosphere of faith, encouragement, belief, worship and truth within Community Groups at Passion City Church. To help facilitate and lead community growth initiatives at Passion City Church, mainly our Community Groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Embody and champion the culture of Passion City in Washington, D.C.

• Help oversee, lead, and grow Community Groups across the DMV

• Help create and execute Community Group curriculum and content for each season

• Complete all logistics and administrative details around Community Groups

• Responsible for Community Group venue booking and relationship management

• Oversee Fight Club coordination and communication

• Help oversee the Care initiatives within Passion City Church, specifically on the online care page

• Help plan special events alongside Director of Community, including (not limited to) block parties, baptisms, married night, and other PCC community events

• Working with the Local Engagement Project Manager to coordinate Community Group serve opportunities in the city

• Help lead, train, and care for Community Group Door Holders

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time, 40-hour workweek including Sunday gatherings and Community Group weeknights. Typically working Sunday-Thursday. Times can be flexible depending on needs during Community Group weeks.

Director of Community D.C.

EXPECTATIONS

• Loves Jesus, the people of Passion City Church, the city of Washington D.C. and the world

• Bachelors Degree Required

• Strongly prefer applicant has 1-2 years of ministry work experience

• Willingness to adapt and be flexible, while working above and beyond expectations

• Acts as an advocate of the culture and vision of Passion

• High level of initiative and ability to take a proactive approach to work

• Performs job duties on time with excellence

• Actively participates in the life of Passion City Church
